Top Ten NBA Players Right Now

Many people argue who's better LeBron James or Kobe Bryant? Well, what about after that? Who's three through 10? In case you were wondering, here's my list of the top ten players in basketball. 1. Kobe Bryant Kobe is fresh off his first title win since the departure of Shaq and is the most clutch player and the most dynamic scorer in the game. LeBron James is almost as dynamic a scorer, but LeBron's defense is not as good as Kobe's, which is why I think Kobe is better. 2. LeBron James This is really a no-brainer. Numbers one and two are locks and no one in the NBA right now is even on the same level as these two players. 3. Dwyane Wade This was a tough call between Wade and Chris Paul, but Wade has the ring to prove his worth at the three spot and is just flat out one of the best scorers in the game, along with the good defense he brings to the table. 4. Chris Paul Paul is the best point guard in the league and can do it all. Shoot, pass, drive, and play defense. He has the skill to go down as one of the best point guards to play the game. 5. Carmelo Anthony This may come as a suprise to many, and to be honest, before last year 'Melo wouldn't have cracked my top 15, but 'Melo's improvements from the three-point line, his passing, defense and, most importantly, his leadership has moved him into my personal five spot. 'Melo can score on you in any way possible and with his size he could easily jump up to the three spot if his defense improves a little more. Not to mention 'Melo is one of the most clutch shooters in the game. 6. Dwight Howard Howard who is the most athletic and dominating defensive big man in the game lands at six due to his terrible free throw shooting and just decent offense. If Howard improves his offense, I could see him as a top three player. 7. Brandon Roy Brandon Roy has really shown a lot in his first few years in the NBA with the Blazers and seems to improve every year. Roy has the skills to be as good a shooting guard as Dwayne Wade. 8. Deron Williams Williams is arguably the second-best point guard in the league behind Chris Paul. Williams has blazing speed and a great offensive game but tends to have a weaker game on the defensive end. Williams is a fun player to watch and could easily be in the top five if his defense were to improve. 9. Dirk Nowitzki Dirk has one of the prettiest shots in the NBA and can give you 40 points on any given night. His size and shot make him one of the deadliest scorers in the game, but like Williams, his defense puts him in the bottom half of my top ten. 10. Joe Johnson This will come as a huge surprise to most people, but Joe Johnson is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. Johnson can score, shoot, and he has solid defense. I almost had Joe at nine, but if he takes Atlanta deeper into the playoffs people, will start to know of him.. Johnson is a sleeper name in the 2010 free agent class and I see whatever team lucky enough to grab him striking gold. Well, that concludes my top 10. I know Tim Duncan should be on the list, but with his age, I just don't see him as a top 10 player anymore. I will update my top 10 again when we are halfway through the next season.
